Rene Calvo returns, fresh from his travels in Africa, to perform with his band, The Goddess Lakshmi, for an extended stint at the legendary Paris Blues in Harlem. Calvo, a noted downtown theater impresario (Ailanthus Grove) and owner of renowned boutique hotel The Harlem Flophouse, fronts his latest venture the blues rock band The Goddess Lakshmi (named for the Hindu goddess of abundance). The band plays all original compositions. The Goddess Lakshmi features Jeff Bauer on Bass , Amos Fischer on drums and the sublime Miss Kosi as our featured vocalist.
